English diagnostic test
1. All applicants to the MA Language and Mind will be asked to demonstrate a level of English language competency by presenting a certificate corresponding to the Common European Framework B2 level or superior. Only international certificates listed in the following table will be accepted:

2. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in languages who had three-year English exams in their curriculum will not be requested to submit any certificate.
3. For exceptional cases which are not covered by 1 or 2, applicants are allowed to submit a reasoned application to the Selection Committee in which they self-certify their own English level; the Committee will evaluate individually the acceptance of such applications.
4. All students enrolled in the MA are nevertheless invited to take an entry test at the Self-Access Lab in San Niccolò, in order to be advised on the best way to achieve a C1 level in the 2-year period of the course, which is required before graduation.
The Self-Access Lab is located at the 4th floor of the San Niccolò building in Via Roma, 56 (Tel 0577 234848, selfaccesslab@gmail.com) open in the month of September. Two passport photos, an identity card, and your student identification number are necessary in order to register at the lab and take the test.
